Join SBA for an Open Forum with Accessibility Services

There are very few open spaces where students with disabilities can talk about access needs, barriers to access at the University of Toronto, and our personal experiences with on-campus accommodations. In order to address this gap, Students for Barrier-free Access and Accessibility Services have been working together to create spaces where these conversations can happen.

Join us on Tuesday May 17 for an Open Forum with the Director and Assistant Director of Accessibility Services at St. George campus.

At this forum there will be an opportunity to:
1. Ask the Director and Assistant Director of Accessibility Services your questions about the supports and services offered by Accessibility Services
2. Provide both positive and critical feedback on your experience with Accessibility Services
3. Discuss and ask questions about the roles of the student and the Disability Counsellor in setting up and cooperating with academic accommodations
4. Ask questions about the role of Accessibility Services in advocating for accessible course design at U of T
5. Share your experiences as a student with a disability at the St George campus
6. Learn from each others’ experiences of advocating for accommodations
7. Learn more about the advocacy support provided by Students for Barrier-free Access

This forum is an opportunity to ask any questions that you might have as a student at U of T. If you have questions that you would like answered but prefer to have someone else ask them on your behalf, please feel free to email your questions directly to Nadia at sba.advocacycoordinator@gmail.com
SBA will keep your personal information confidential.
