International Day of Persons with Disabilities – Alliance of Equality for Blind Canadians
You are cordially invited to come to this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities event in Toronto focused on employment. This is Goal 5 of United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, on decent work and economic growth.
Elected representatives from all three levels of government are invited to come and speak on government employment initiatives, as well as persons with disabilities to share their employment success stories. Employment agencies are also invited to come and network with job seekers.
Time: 2 to 4 p.m.
Venue: Metro Hall, 55 John St. Room 308 and 309.

Inclusive Employment Advocacy Project
Do you want to learn how to speak up for yourself for equal access to employment services?Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians (AEBC) Toronto Chapter is launching an Employment Advocacy Project to build the skills of persons with disabilities to make sure employment programs and services include persons with disabilities. Fight the Fees Campaign – Toronto Rally for Free Education
Ontario students currently pay the highest tuition fees in the country and students are graduating with thousands of dollars in debt. On November 2, students from all three UofT campuses are coming together to take action and demand free education for ALL! Join us as we rally at UofT and head to Queen’s Park to Fight the Fees!
